Today was my first day back on Jenny Craig food. The only major difference I've seen between my diet and JC's is that it's optional to either have an "Anytime Bar" or a yogurt. If you're doing my diet you're doing a yogurt. Some people have recommended that I try Greek yogurt because it's less sugar. I tried it while pregnant and hated it. However, I pretty much hated everything while pregnant so maybe I should give it a chance again. For now while on JC and trying to make some drastic changes in my diet to try and "Zap" my metabolism I opted for JC's Anytime Bar because it's only 8g of sugar and high in protein. It's going to be difficult to see if this first week really worked since I am starting on a holiday week. We have two Thanksgivings...maybe 3 but I think we're going to just visit for the 3rd one. It's very tough to get any results when I'm starting on a holiday that revolves around food! But, I'm going to stick to what JC has taught me. 2-3 oz of turkey, one scoop of stuffing and one scoop of sweet potatoes because those are my two favorite starches. I will have a slice of pumpkin pie, just without the crust, and fat-free cool whip.
I'm very thankful for my beautiful son, amazing husband, doggies, family, and friends. My one wish is that my Mom will find relief. Thank you to all of you that take the time to read my thoughts every day or even just now and then. Happy Thanksgiving!
